Aventus Property Group (APG) today confirmed that works would soon begin on the major retail refurbishment of Level 1 at the Tuggerah Super Centre, bringing total spend invested into this centre to over $23ml since their ownership in 2015.
Since APG’s acquisition of the centre in 2015, they have seen growth in Tuggerah’s Large Format Retail precinct with retailers reporting strong sales and LFL comparable growth.
Centre Manager Julie Meehan said, “The 22 existing retailers have been trading very well in the 15months since the ground floor re-development finished and as a result, we have been able to bring forward the commencement of our Level 1 refurbishment works”.
With re-development works due for completion in mid-2018, the centre will expand by over 10,000sqm and span across 2 levels. New retailers will be added to the already dynamic retail mix, increasing the convenience and appeal for all shoppers.
“We’re excited to welcome many new faces to Tuggerah Super Centre, including James Lane Furniture, Oz Education Early Learning Centre (STCA), and the exciting relocation and expansion of our existing Spotlight store. The re-opening of the Level 1 carpark will make available over 120 additional convenient car spaces for customers” Mrs Meehan said.
The re-development will add an additional 11 retailers, taking the centre to a mix of over 30 national and independent brands including Services NSW, NRMA, Bunnings, Spotlight, Fantastic Furniture, The Good Guys and Adairs. On completion, the project will deliver more retailer jobs for local people and allow Tuggerah Super Centre to take pride of place as the largest and only indoor home and lifestyle shopping destination on the Central Coast.
